Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

My boyfriend was driving my car to get items for a business trip. On his way home a car pulled directly out in front of him. The bumpers touched, no damage to the other vehicle. Both parties pulled over, no injuries occurred. While in a private drive, the owner of that residence told them to get off his property. The other car stated that my boyfriend hit the car in a place where damage was already done. They took a picture of the license plate and called the police. The police are trying to claim that my boyfriend left the scene of an accident, even though bth parties said all was ok. I feel these people are trying to make a faulty insurance claim to fix their car. To top it off the police somehow found and called my boyfriends grandmother to get a hold of me since I am the owner of the vehicle. How did they retrieve that information and is that legal? What are the reprocussions for my boyfriend since he had a suspended license? Can they arrest him?

Thank You

It sounds like your boyfriend might get cited for drving with asuspended license. You may get sued in civil court for negligent entrustment, if you knew he had no license when you let him drive your car. Your boyfriend should consult an attorney personally in your area prior to getting arrested.

Good luck
