As you apparenlty know, the verbal transfer of the property from your mother to you, is of little or no effect. You have no more right to teh house, then does you sister. both of you have less right to the house then your brother. If the house is owned by your mother and your brother, thne you might have to payt rent or get permission to stay from one of them. Your sister can seek top become your mother's conservator, to protect her financial interests. She can then push yrou brothetr to make the house productive (get rent) Until then, she and her attorney are just making idle threats. If the lawyer has asked you to make rent payments to him or your sister, without authority, then you might want to take this matter to the Missouri Bar.

Good luck
