You should, in a respectful manner, ask your father if he has considered a prenuptial agreement to ensure that whatever he plans to leave for his new wife is respected by her. If he is concerned about providing something for her, it is very easy to have a portion of his assets held in trust for her benefit for a period of time, but ensuring those assets pass to his children after that period of time expires.
