Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

probate

My dad died about 2 months ago. He married 3 years ago, I am his only kid. He has property rental houses and a truck along with alot of other stuff. He worked for the Union. His wife has not even contacted me since his death he has no will and everything is in probate. My mom got a attorney but they are saying she (wife) can take of the paperwork. But why does she get the say in where everything should go she wants to sell 2 of the rental houses and they are not even in her name. My mom's attorney is saying its all up to the judge but when she first talk to this attorney she told my mom I was intitle to everything that does not have her name on it. The question is if she goes in with paperwork saying she feels it is best that i get this and she gets this is the judge going to go with what she says and second question since i am the only kid do i have the right to whatever my dad has that does not have her name on it By the way i am 20

Re: probate

In my opinion you would be well-advised to hire an attorney to represent you in this matter. If you are located in the St. Louis area I would be happy to offer you a free consultation.
