Can a credit card company garnish wages and what is the garnishment percentage allowed?

yes, a creditor may garnish your wages with a valid court order and writ of execution, and sometimes without a court order in some occasions. in california, the statutory amount that can be garnished is up to 25% of your disposable income, unless you can get a hardship exemption. if your creditor is close to garnishing your wages here, you may want to contact us directly for settlement negotiation assistance with them.
