Deportation for first DWI ?

Hello I was convicted of misdemanor charges of DWI this month.I have a valid green card.I was arrested in 2001 for solicitation for prostituion but state dismissed the case.Will this make me subject of Deportation? Please help

The INS is not interested in a DWI or DUI. This will not get you deported if you are here legally.

BUT - make sure your lawyer knows your immigration status. This is hugely important in many ways. One such way is that he can use the 'collaterol consequences' to get you a better plea-bargain (look for a violation or a CCD).
