Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nebraska

Sold property that didn't belong to te bank

recently my husband and I bought a forclosed house and property. Part of the property shows on our paper work as Replot however the previous owner has the paper work he actually signed showing it was not a replot and that he still owns it. The title co is taking a long time to get back with us stating they are consulting outside counceling. We have all paper work stating the land is ours and we would not have bought it other wise. What are our legal rights to this land if the bank didn't really own it to sell it to us and we paid for it? And if the rightful owner wont give up the land what can we do to be compensated?

It would take a little research just to figure out what happened and why. Eventually, you should receive clear title or be reimbursed by the title insurance company or bank. If you are in a hurry to get an answer, you will need to hire an attorney to research it for you.
