Filing Bankruptcy without a lawyer

Bankruptcy forms are widely available as a package lots of places on the internet. They are pretty scary! As I have repeatedly said in this forum, the problem isn't that you may fill out the forms wrong (although you probably will), it is that you lack the education & experience to analyze your financial situation before you file. When you ultimately find yourself in trouble, no attorney will help you since by filing without using a lawyer, you have demonstated that you have no respect for the legal profession.

I can't imagine what you expected to hear by asking lawyers to comment on what your chances are of having your case dismissed. To my way of thinking, having your case dismissed might be the best thing that could happen to you. Some of the things that COULD happen is you could forfeit your tax refund, lose your home, lose your car, or go to prison for bankruptcy fraud.

I know most of the Consumer Bankruptcy attorneys in Las Vegas. None of us are wealthy people making a huge amount of money off the impoverished. We pay overhead to pay have living expenses. No one goes to work without getting paid for their time. If you are truly indigent, you probably don't need to file Bankruptcy. If you want to play at being a lawyer, you will have to roll the dice and take your chances at the result. If you earn a wage, you can afford to pay a lawyer for valuable legal representation. It will be the best money you ever spend!
