Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

I am an airline pilot. My wife of only one year is divorcing me. We have an 11 month old daughter together and she is trying to deny me the right to 50% physical custody based on my schedule. I have heard of precedence of this with the pilot producing his schedule for the month and him being able to see the child on his days off, not to exceed 15. I have also heard of an airline pilot possession order. Can you please help me with these concerns?

The airline pilot possession order is out of the state of Texas. I guess with American and Delta having crew basis at DFW, they influenced the Family Court. I can obtain one for you and argue to the Judge that this would be the best for your daughter. She is denying you 50% custody because that may reduce the child support that you will have to pay. There are more facts that need to be known, such as, does your wife work? Who took care of your daughter when you were home, i.e. who put her to bed, who bathed her, did you feed her, even if she was breast feeding?

Judges want a firm order and are you senior enough to bid the same trips or the same days off. Finally, your wife was pregnant before you got married, which gives you a right to challenge paternity. I am not saying that you should challenge but you should now that you have the right. I have an affinity for airline employees as I work in Ops for America West for five years before and during law school and 2 years for National Airlines after I became a lawyer, working two nights in the first class lounge as a bartender. I would be even willing to trade some legal work for buddy passes.
