Child support and unemployment

Does my ex get to now make lower child support payments because he was fired.. And is collecting unemployment now he is taking me back to court??

The Court bases child support on income. If your ex is making less and he notifies the court he is making less by filing a motion for modification, then the court will lower his support.

The new support can be based upon his unemployment income.

If the Court thinks that he is willfully unemployed or underemployed, the Court can order him to look for work and monitor his progress to get a new job.
