Leaving state before divorcing

If I moved from Utah to Nevada before filing for divorce. Would I have a waiting period in Nevada before being able to file & divorce in that state?

Probably. File before you move in Utah, or wait 3 months in Nevada

You have to be a resident of Nevada for 6 continous weeks prior to filing for divorce. If there are children involved, they have to be residents for 6 months for the court to have jurisdiction over them.
