va loan

when my ex-wife filed for divorce,she got the home,now i would like to use my va to buy a home, but she won't refinance & take my name off. I can't buy anything because I'm still on this loan.any way to force her to refinance?

Depends on what your divorce decree says. If the decree doesn't require her to refince within a certain time after the divorce, then you might be able to file a motion to require her to do so. You will need a court order to do so in your divorce case. If the house was granted to her in the divorce then the property division intended that you should no longer be liable on the loan for property that was awarded to her. the court should grant you an appropriate order if you do file a motion.
