Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada

i live in nevada i read oral contracts expire per statue of limitations after 4 yrs i was incarerated 3 years from 2007 to 2010 the contract went wrong in 2006 and now it 2011 the amount owed is $450,000 have plenty of evidence can i still file on this case. thanking you for your time

I don't know. I can't know without knowing what kind of Oral Contract you made, what the terms were, etc. Different types have different Statutes of Limitations see: NRS 11.010 Commencement of civil actions. Civil actions can only be commenced within the periods prescribed in this chapter, after the cause of action shall have accrued, except where a different limitation is prescribed by statute. [1911 CPA � 4; RL � 4946; NCL � 8503]

If your question is whether your incarceration tolls or stops the SOL, I would say no it doesn't. You had every opportunity to find a lawyer while you were in prison. You may have a hard time finding a lawyer with any degree of sophistication to take such a case. I certainly won't take it. Not interested at all unless you want to pay me a $15,000 retainer up front by certified or cashier's check, and, I'll wait till the check clears.
