House worth less than mortgage

I am moving back to the midwest for a better job. I have an 80/20 with the combined loans worth approx $150k more than homes in my neighborhood are currently selling for. I cannot afford the mortgage here and rent there. I looked into leasing it, but there are already tons of houses for lease in Las Vegas. What to do?

Let it go or do a short sale with a realtor.
