Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

After a long dispute over a medical bill,for my wife, a collection company, (attorney) filed a judgement

against her in the amount of $1700.

We just summited an application for

re-fi with no cash out.

Our home is HOMESTEADED here in NV.

The TITLE COMPANY won't let us go forward until we pay the Judgement.

Technically, since you have less than $550,000 in equity, they should not be able to stop you. You may have to get a court order and that would cost more than the $1,700.

I would write them a letter for $100 but I am not sure if the collection agency would care because they have the right to lien.
