Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Hampshire

remove a RIT and Lien ?

Here's my story.

I was forced to sue my building

contractor and won the case, He was

supposed to pay a certain amount each

month and after 5 monthes he made 1

payment and it bounced. We took him

back to court and the judge told us that

we could get a RIT OF EXECUTION to

force him to pay if he had the money.

Along with the RIT, a Lien was put on

his house (which he is selling). The

Sherriff showed at his house and he

paid off the whole judgement.

I was told if he sells the house before

the lien is off, we will be in trouble

because he already paid in full.

In NH what do I have to do to get Lien

taken off someone's house ?

Thank You

If he paid you, you are suppose to sign a discharge saying that you have been paid and it gets recorded in the registry of deeds. Ask the contractor to have his lawyer prepare one for your signature.
