Legal Question in DUI Law in New Hampshire

Dui

I was charge with DUI 7years ago in nh. I paid the fine and did the time but I didn't finish the class. I live in C-ville VA now and want to get my licence. Is there a way I can get clearance from NH without having to take the class?

Re: Dui

How do you know you need "clearance" from New Hampshire to secure a Virginia license?

If I were you, I would simply apply for the Virginia license, disclose only what is required regarding the DUI conviction and see what happens.

Assuming that Virginia knows of your previous conviction, you will have to take an approved DWI course and complete it which means any after care like AA that is recommended. When you have completed all requirements of NH, their records will show that you have restored driving privileges and then Virginia will give you a license.

You should be able to take a course in Virginia.
