Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

New Hampshire Child Support

My son is considering marrying a girl who pays child support to her ex based on a New Hampshire Divorce. The child and her father live in Massachusetts. My son & girl friend live in Texas. Can the child support be increased based on my son's income?

Re: New Hampshire Child Support

You have somewhat mis-directed your inquiry. Your question is actually about New Hampshire law; not NM law. Thus, you should direct your question to a New Hampshire attorney, not a NM attorney.

Be that as it may, I can tell you that the law in NM is that the income of a subsequent spouse is not considered as a part of the income of the person paying the child support. Thus, only the gross income of the person who has to pay child support Again, that may be only the law in NM and perhaps it is not the law everywhere. That's why I suggest you post a query to a NH attorney.

Good luck
