Legal Question in Employment Law in New Hampshire

Wages after being terminated

I recently was terminated from my job. The job was a salary plus bonus plans. For the 3rd quarter my office reached its revenue goals and was given a $6,500 bonus. I was let go 2 weeks after the quarter ended, and was informed that I will not be paid my half of the bonus. My employee was paid her half. I was already informed my my manager that our brnach had reached its bonus and of the amount. In a job where I am paid off of 40/hrs per week and am expected to work 50/hrs a week with no overtime is it legal to withhold this bonus that the branch reached under my supervison.

Re: Wages after being terminated

Whether or not the bonus is to be paid depends on the agreement that applies. There is help! Call the Wage and Hour Office at the Attorney General's office in Boston. Also ask if you should have been paid overtime.
