Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Hampshire

Trust maintainance of its property

I am a senior living many years in my large old home which title is in an Irrevocable Trust. I have managed to keep the place for the past 8 yrs as there is no mortgage.

If this house is sold in the future and a smaller one bought outright presumably at a profit by the trust, would it then be responsible for the maintenance and taxes on it's owned property?

I truly very much appreciate your reply.

The answer to your question depends on how the trust is written and how the transaction is arranged. I recommend that you speak with an experienced trust and estates attorney. You may call our office and speak with attorney James P. Hall. There is no fee for the consultation. His telephone number is (978) 250-4255, ext. 16, or call toll free at (888) 821-9716.
