Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

My name is DVaughn and I recently signed up for shopper services, a secret shopper site. They offered me to join a few other services for a free trial and I declined because I didn't want to forget to cancel them and I didn't want to look for the phone numbers and miss a program by mistake and get charged.

Without my consent they gave my debit card information to them anyway and I been charged for the services. When I asked them to refund me the money they debited they all but spat in my face. What should I do

try NJ consumer affairs, talk to your bank, look online to see if other people have been able to get their money back from these jokers.

Sounds like you were scammed. I agree with Bob that if you can find other people treated similarly, file a complaint with NJ Consumer Affairs (complaints can be done on line at their web site) and they might investigate and start an action. Explain this to your bank and see if they might reverse the payment, but I doublt it. I know it will not help, but this is one of the disadvantages of using a debit card rather than a credit card.
