Is this considered slander?

I wrote some nasty emails to someones son whose parents took my money. He wrote back saying he was going to sue me for slander. I was only expressing an opinion and slander is classified as anything that is said that is untrue. I sent it from my work email. Can my company be at fault for any of this beacuse they said they sent the emails to consumer affairs thats why i was wondering if my job will be involved or they will get in trouble in any way. Can this really be classified as slander?

It depends on what you said. Clearly you made a huge mistake writing nasty email to someone, because you left proof. Second, you were foolish to do it from your jobs, because you can now be fired for misuse of company property. Especially, if the person who sued you insists on discovery from your job. Well done.
