Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New Jersey

is this retalition?

currently suspended w/o pay. at the request of a co-worker i went to AAOEO to report sexual harassment because she was concerned about retaliation. during investigation AAOEO told detectives that i was the reporter. from that point i was under extreme scrutiny. the officer who harassed my coworker was assigned to investigate me in another case shortly thereafter (10 days). He came to his own conclusion which mysteriously ended up with a summons from the prosecutors office. the same officer was found guilty of the s/h fired but brought back. now he is currently on desk duty w/o a gun for domestic violence. i have been suspended since 5/5/05 and have never been questioned about the incident from my job or the prosecutors office. they are dragging this out. if i am suspended for more than 6 months i can be fired. i know people from my job are in constant with the proscecutors office because every time i submit some evidence to clear me my supervisor (who is the mentor for accused officer) trys to dismiss. incidently the officer who was harrased quit because she know they would do this to her. AND the officer in ? got promoted with pending charges, was fired, brought back, has no gun and just interviewed for the next sgt position!

Re: is this retalition?

It sounds like you have a lot of facts which I would need to learn more about to determine if you have a whistle blower claim. I also would need to know if you are male or female to determine whether you have a claim under NJ discrimination law. My firm's practice is mostly devoted to employment law and I would happy to speak with you if you need help. You may reach me at 908-486-3181.
