Legal Question in Technology Law in New Jersey

I found out that my ex-wife has been using a software tracking service for 5 years to track my physical location when I open every email she sends to me. It also tells her to whom I may have forwarded the email too.

When I confronted her about it she claims she needs it only for a return receipt on the email.

Is this legal? What can I do about it?

Fascinating. I have never heard of that before.

It does sound a lot like spying on you, however, and you MIGHT (I would have to research) be able to sue her successfully for invading your privacy.

Call me if you like. I will need to know what part of New Jersey is involved, to determine whether I can assist you.
