Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Hi, My uncle ask me to co-sign for a house for him which i did, I was told i was the co-signer. Now, i found own he trick me in signing to be the buyer. So i now own a house that i did not want, I would have be a first time buyer.

My legal issue is my uncle never paid he make his payment on the house like he should and now the bank is calling me. I do not know what to do. I just got married and is trying to by a house now for me and my family and no bank will lend me a loan. My uncle move out of the house and now i have no idea what to do, my credit is all screwed up and I don't now what to do. please help me.

There are TOO MANY questions and variables for anyone to give you any answers here. You are going to have to go to an attorney. I suggest you contact the bank/mortgage company, explain that you were to be a co-signer, and that before you can talk with them, you need a copy of ALL the closing paperwork for the property. Take that information to a lawyer, because any of us would need to review that before we could explain to your your situation, and give you any advice. Good luck!
