Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Car accident 1st

Vehicle A ran a stop sign and hit vehicle--name removed--on the passenger side.

The driver of vehicle--name removed--was close to home panicked drove home a 2 min drive to his /her spouse and came back to the scene immediatley. All paper work was done,--name removed--was issued a ticket for leaving the scene.

--name removed--has a EXCELLENT driving record.

With having such a good driving record

Can--name removed--s ticket be down graded, to a lesse charge and because its a first offense do NO prison time that our biggest fear.

I would suggest you hire an attorney to help with this. They can properly prepare a defense for you in court, and would then be able to perhaps plead the ticket to a different charge.

With an attorney this technical violation of leaving the scene of an accident can be resolved in a manner so as not result in the loss of the person's driving license.
