I'm giving a testimony in a case but my lawyer told me that the trial is postponed and no need for me to go to court. If I will not show up, will I be charged in contempt of court?

If there is no trial there is no need for your to appear. You could simply call the office of the judge who is to preside over the trial and confirm that you are not required to appear. Be certain to write down the person with whom you talk. Secondly, if you are subpeonied to appear you can confirm the adjournement of the trial by call the office of the law firm or prosecutor's office
who is requiring your appearance as a witness.
