Could you please answer this for me. My lady- friend who lives in New Jersey, recently had to get a restraining order against a cab driver who was constantly going to her home, and knocking on her door at different hours of the day or night. My Question: How much did it cost my friend to get a judge to issue the restraining order.? Please give me the total amount .

Thank-You,

Sincerely,

It doesn't cost anything to get a restraining order. Tell your friend to go to the local police station, report the harassment, and fill in the papers for a restraining order. A temprorary restraining order will be issued by the local town judge most likely, but it will then be referred to the county superior court for a hearing on getting a permanent restraining order entered. If your friend would like to call me to discuss this please have her call 908-272-0111 to discuss this with me. Thank you.
