Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

i am a new graduate nurse. i just got a position out of state temporary for 7 weeks at a summer camp in the poconos which is just about the same driving distance my ex has to do to come to my house. he will not let me take her. he gets visitation every other weekend and on tues. thurs dinners. i said he could still see her on the weekends but he would have to make arrangements to come up there on tues/ thursd. this camp will be totally free for my daughter and an awesome oportunity, he wants yo split the summer, but one he is only entiltled to 2 weeks non consecutive with her and he pretty much plans to take her to work. i think this is unfair to her. do i have a right to take her? i can not get a court date in time, they game me one in july which is too late, camp starts the 25th. i tried to get a notice to show cause but they said i couldn't bc our daughter was not in harms way or danger. i do not understand why me leaving and not being here which is her primary residence does not justify putting her in danger.
