Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I have an ex husband who owes me over 15,000 dollars in back spousal support, he lives in SC, I live in NJ.

His father is elderly & lives in NJ, when he passes my ex will be entitled to 1/3 of his fathers assets, house, etc.

Can I have some kind of lein put on his inheritance to receive the money he owes me?

If you have a judgment against him in NJ, that would attach onto any property that he becomes entitled to in NJ. An attorney could review your situation with you to be sure you are protected.

You could file a motion to enter a judgment for the arrears. Call me if you like.
