Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

invasion of privacy

I was adopted 31 years ago in Texas where they have closed adoptions and seal records. A few days ago i was contacted by my birthmother who said she used a website and they located me. I emailed this woman who provided personal information about myself and my adoptive family, including my birth certificate number. The woman stated that this was obtained not thru adoption records, but general public knowledge. Is this possible? Is it legal? I am very upset about this whole situation.

I handled one case like yours several years ago. There are a lot of issues here, and possibly a great deal of emotional upset.

I know what the law is in New Jersey.

If you would like to meet with an attorney and discuss this, let me know.
