You really could have a lawyer appear in court for you. If this is a fight over child custody, you will need to explain what you mean. Depending which court in New Jersey, I may be able to help you. Give me a call, make an appointment to come see me, and let's get moving on this for you. I know people worry about how expensive a lawyer is, so I am careful to be as inexpensive as I can for my clients. Before you spend a dime, you will know how much this is likely to be.

A lawyer can appear for you in New Jersey on a motion, but if this is a trial your appearance might and probably will be required. Also, it is very dependent upon the Judge and county. If there is a jurisdiction issue that will also need to be addressed, for instance, if the child has resided in South Carolina for the last six months, then South Carolina would be the home state for custody.

My office has handled many of these types of cases.

I would be happy to follow up with you. Please email me directly or call my office if you would like to schedule an appointment either in person or by telephone. My contact information is listed in the links below.
