Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

I need to file a case in small claims court but i only have a work address for the defendant. Can i serve him at work through the mail or because it is a place of employment do i have to havehim served personally?

In small claims court service of process is by certified mail sent by the court. It can be mailed to any address where the defendant is reasonably deemed to be likely to be found.
