Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

information subpoena

i had a dept of 2600.00, i finaly paid the dept off. after calling to confirm the dept was paid by the due date of 3/30/2006, i get a letter in the mail from the law office stating, because i did not fill out a information subpoena i have 10 days to due so plus pay court cost. why do they still need such information if the dept is paid? please help thank you. live in ga debt from nj

Are you sure that this isn't just a case of things crossing in the mail? If they are paid up, it should be over. I suggest you give them a call.

You need to take this up with the law firm. I don't know NJ law or procedure, but I can't imagine the firm trying to get you to pay twice.
