Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

Can my ex in-laws sue for money on items that were either purchased for their daughter or for the intention for her and myself to use. No contract was written up. I did, however, give money for things I felt wetre my responsibility, though, there was not a contract on these items either.

You really need to talk this over with a lawyer. When will it stop? When will she leave you alone? and her family?

Can they sue you? Yes they can file suit. Can they win? Just based on what you said, so long as you fight them and prove what you are saying in Court, sounds like they will lose. But you have to fight them.

It sounds like there is more involved here. Call me, and we can discuss it.

No charge for the telephone call and no charge for the first office visit.

Anybody can sue anybody but with no written agreement it is their word against yours. This should have been resolved in your divorce.
