Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

I am from Haiti, married to a US citizen, and I have been in the US illegally for more than 8 years. My husband has filed a petition for me to become a permanent resident, but that petition was denied because I was unable to provide proof on how I entered the United States. After the quake in Haiti, I was granted an 18-month Temporary Protected Status (TPS). My question is the following, since I am now legal on the basis of the TPS, is it ok for my husband to file another petition for me to stay in the country legally? Please advise. Thank you!

No, it's not. TPS doesn't cure a problem with illegal entry (no admission).

You have to be eligible for adjustment of status in order to apply. I suggest, you consult an attorney in private.
