Medical Claim

If a company fails to file a claim properly for durable medical equipment with the insurance company does that make me legally responsible?

The circumstances underlying this claim to the insurance carrier are not entirely clear from the quetion, but if you received the benefit of the medical equipment, you could be responsible for the bill if no one else pays it.
