Legal Question in Legal Ethics in New Jersey

ripped off by ''lawyer''

recently went through a freind who has a ''lawyer'' he knows to get me out of a traffic issue. lent my car, and was left abandoned on nj turnpike. dished out over 500 dollars, and since he was not a member of the nj bar, (he resides and ''works'' in pa , he would retain an associate for me. went to municipal court today, and lo and behold, the lawyer had not been paid. he was professional enough to understand the situation and continue the case, but still needs money. upon contacting the original ''atty'', he said the payment was sent. due to other references after the fact, i tend to believe the latter wasnt paid. what if any is my legal recourse?

I am not sure what your question is. Did your legal issue get handled? Is the attorney who appeared trying to get you to pay him? I need to know what you are trying to say.
