Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New Jersey

On the job Injury

I have a friend who injured her back on the job in New Jersey(she now lives in NY). She initially claimed that the injury didnt happen on the job. Since the injury she went thru one operation that was done completely wrong and she has had to schedule another operation(next month) to correct the first mistake. This 2nd operation might leave her with a 60% chance of ever walking again. The bungled operation has left her in constant extreme pain to her back & legs!

Is the first doctor liable for malpractice? Can she claim disability? Can she claim SSI? Would she be able to sue for past, present & future pain & suffering?

Your friend may have a case. The medical records from her first surgery through the present must be obtained and reviewed to determine if there was malpractice. Our firm would be happy to advise your friend accordingly. We can be contacted at www.smileylaw.com. Sincerely, Andrew J. Smiley
