Legal Question in Military Law in New Jersey

Disharge Upgrade

I plan on appealing for an Honorable Discharge, and appearing in Person.

My goal is not to say its improper but was justified, however I d like t try to explain to them My mental state at the time was imature and irrational due to Poor Family stucture prior to enlistment. Also that I have Been a good citizen in my time after my discharge. And that I deeply regrett what I did.And if I was to enlist today I would Be A Better Marine .

do you think thats a good case to bring and How would I go about proving My Mental state to them?
