Legal Question in Military Law in New Jersey

Re Joining the Service....

Was a member of US Navy..Recieved a Other than Honorable Discharge that was eventually upgraded to general under honorable. I am 42 years old. I served approx. 3 years. Received RE-4 (re-enlistment code) Would I be able to re-join any particular branch (Yes or No???) Am I to old (age?). After serving the 3 years (honorably). Got into a fight with a 2nd Class petty officer, was put into a position in which I had to defend myself...He was demoted to 3rd Class. I was discharged. The Ensign in charge of my Depart. (engineering) knowing me personally wanted to help me appeal, wanting me to stay. I didn't think there was a way then so I left. Discharge was again upgraded to General under Honorable Conditions. Would like to re-join Navy (would like to serve my country again) Any information would be very helpful. Willing to go through what ever steps I need to. My tel number is 973-246-1265 or 973-619-2861 or please write me. Thank You so so much.

Re: Re Joining the Service....

Believe that you are too old even for an age waiver for enlistment. However you should call a local recruiter and ask about the age issue. The recruiter can also answer the reenlistment code question. If necessary, call each branch of service separately.
