Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

Dog Bite

My dog nipped a guy walking by our house. My dog was not on a leash, however, he did not rip his mesh shorts (which rip very easily) nor did the dog break his skin. He had a pinch mark. We recieved a letter stating he was sueing us. My question is does he have a case even when there wasn't a true bite and when the cop came he even said that there wasn't broken skin and it more upset the older man.

Re: Dog Bite

I understand your question.

Please, please please call your homeowner's insurance company, and tell them about this. You should send them a letter telling them what happened with a copy of the letter that you received (which says you are being sued).
