Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

Can I file charges for being served alcohol if I've never had it before and i ha

I was at a local chain restaurant seated at a table and I ordered a raspberry iced tea. The waitress never asked me for ID, yet she served me an alcoholic drink Vodka and Raspberry lemonade. Being as I've never had alcohol i didn't know why the drink didn't taste like normal raspberry iced tea. I also have a medical condition Ulcerative Colitis which you are suppose to refrain from drinking because it can cause flare ups. Am I able to press charges against this restaurant for serving me alcohol and not checking my id I'm only 27 and I get carded to enter clubs constantly because I look very young. What course of action can I take if any???

No. You're older than 21, you would have stood a better chance at some type of action for damages due to your condition, had you been underage. The fact that other places I.D. you and this one didn't doesn't matter--you're 27, not 20. I wonder, did you finish the whole drink? or did someone accompanying you finish it?
