How to add someone to my home deed

I have a 15 year mortgage in my name with 13

years left to pay. I wish to have my companion's

name added to the mortgage and/or deed so that

she may have the right to the property when I die.

I want to avoid her paying inheritance tax on it.

Can this be done without going though a closing

process and incurring a big expense?

This can easily be accomplished by having the owners of the real estate sign a QuitClaim Deed conveying their interest in the property to themselves and the new person. Any real estate lawyer can accomplish this. Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me.
