Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Evicting a Roommate

Based on differences of opinion my roommate and I are not getting along. We came to an understanding and he verbally agreed to move out within two months. When I confronted him at the end of that time, he said he was not prepared to leave, and I if wanted him out I would have to take him to court. Since then has decided, without my consent, to pay me weekly rather than monthly for his share of the rent. I have drafted a formal letter restating the above information, asking him to resolve this situtation by a specific date. What are my options if he refuses yet again. My name is the only name on the lease.

Re: Evicting a Roommate

You could go to Special Civil Part Office in the county the apartment is located for forms to file suit.
