Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Names on Deed

I would like to transfer the deed to my house to my sons name. It currently is in both our names but he is the head of household since my divorce. Can I do that without refinacing? Do I need a lawyer? Is it OK to do?

Re: Names on Deed

I have no idea whether this is a good idea or not, and I would need to meet with you and get a lot more information before I could give you any advice.

Go see a lawyer who handles real estate and also divorces, who is not too far away from you.

If you would like, give me a call; I am in Hackensack (northern New Jersey). I will be happy to discuss

this with you; a brief telephone consultation will be free.

My contact information can be obtained from the links below, just click on the Attorney Profile link. Let my secretary know you found me through LawGuru.
