W4 Chnaged without permission

My company adjusted my W4 without

my permission. Is this legal?

Did they actually adjust the W-4 or did they merely change the deductions, that get adjusted annually, with new tables being provided either by the Feds or the State? If they arbitrarily made the adjustment - changing your status or number of exemptions, you are correct that this can only be done with your authorization.
