Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

bogus traffic ticket in Montclair, NJ

How can I fight the bogus ticket?

was stopped today (July 16, 2008) by Montclair police and got this ticket 'fail to yield to pedestrian' on the previous block...- which is bogus: nobody was crossing or staying on the side, traffic was heavy as usual in the morning at 7:50am.

I never even had a single point, neither any violation, even parking ticket for 20 years.

I found out that I am not the only one victim of the illegal police operation to collect money for the State in trouble.

I found the whole blog on the Internet for the same subject: people describe the same story over and over for the same location as a bogus police trap...

I need legal advise as it looks like it's sponsored operations by higher authority and in court it will be my words against some bogus cop who was undercover in this operations.

I am resident of NY and driving the same route already 5 years.

You have to decide what's more important, a small fine or days and days worth of court apperance and thousands in legal fees. I understand you want to fight the system, but the price you pay in money and time will be great. If you have a ton of money and nothing to do all day, have at it! Otherwise, take the plea and stay out of the town. I don't think you'll need an attorney to get a decent deal.

Thank you for your inquiry re: the above matter. I am a former NJ municipal prosecutor in 15 towns. Please visit our website at www.tickethelpline.com.

Your NJ matter could subject you to fines, surcharges and a potential license suspension.

It may make sense to hire an attorney for this matter. We can keep points off your record and keep you on the road.

You may not need to appear in this Court as we can appear in Court for you in most cases. Our fees are very reasonable.
