Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

my aunt filed a medical malpractice lawsuit for my deceased grandfather against a hospital in puerto rico, and won the suit.she filed on behalf of all his children including my deceased father who's share was to be split between my brother and myself. my name was forged and my share was split with my aunt and her husband. can I file a civil suit against her? and will you take the case?

It appears that you may have a right to judgment wrongly taken by your aunt. This, however, may be difficult to do -but not impossible- from New York/New Jersey.

You have good claim, but must pursue it where either the estate was probated, or where your aunt lives. If either is NJ, you can call me to discuss this further.You may also have grounds for filing a criminal complaint, but you should talk to a lawyer first.
