Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

My grandfather sold his home 4 years ago. At that time he decided to move into my home. Since we did not have enough room, he converted our 1/2 bath into a full bath, converted our garage and added onto the back of the house giving himself a living room and bedroom. He was recently placed in a nursing home and has to file for medicaid. Can medicaid come after our home if it is not in my grandfather's name?

No. It sounds like your grandfather made certain improvements to make living with you easier for both you and him. I presume he did not pay rent, so this was legitimate. This is a reply to an Internet question. The response is not intended to be legal advice or as creating an attorney-client relationship.
